Some excellent news coming out of this warm, sunny Sunday. I got an email this morning informing me that one of my short stories has made it to the final round of the Tales from the Lake competition, hosted by Crystal Lake Publishing. They had 116 entries and narrowed it down to 35…and I’m honoured and privileged to be included.
Tales from the Lake Volume 2 is the follow up to the popular Tales from the Lake Volume 1, which is currently available on Amazon. Should I be successful in the final round, and the quality and writing ability is top-notch, I may be sharing a TOC with the likes of Jack Ketchum, Edward Lee, Ramsay Campbell, Lisa Morton, Jim Goforth and many, many others.
Needless to say, being involved at all is a privilege here. The fact my story is being considered in the final heats still has me smiling like a Cheshire Cat. It’s time for me to add some final flourishes to the story and submit it with my nerves on edge. Exciting times!
