A few months ago, I discovered that my short story, ‘Bon Appetit’ would feature in Kill For A Copy, the first horror anthology from Dark Chapter Press. As always, I was stoked by this news. Dark Chapter Press is an up and coming horror press with a bright, promising future and being involved with them is a pleasure.
Now, this week, I was surprised by the news that the foreword for this anthology is being composed by none other than Shaun Hutson, one of my all-time favourite horror icons. To be involved in a book that features a foreword from such a horror master is, without a doubt, one of my career highlights to date.
Shaun Hutson is on-board. Rob McEwan, the proprietor of Dark Chapter Press, is opening a Kickstarter campaign for Kill For A Copy. The aim of this Kickstarter is to give Kill For A Copy the best possible start to its publishing life. Advertising, promotion, mass exposure and, importantly, making sure the contributing authors get paid for their work. In a publishing world where ‘exposure only’ is sometimes frowned upon, this is a huge step for such a small, starting press. As I mentioned, Dark Chapter Press is a press that are going places…with Hutson involved, it looks like they are backing this statement in a big way.
So, here is the link to the Kickstarter Campaign. Please share this with everyone, on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and any other social media you have access to. We want as many people involved as possible.
There are some amazing pledge prizes to be won, including personalised stories, eBooks, print copies and much, much more. Helping us hit our goal is not only giving Kill For A Copy a great start, it’s also bringing a quality collection of horror fiction to the masses. The authors involved deserve to have their work promoted worldwide. By pledging, you can help us to do this. Thank you for your support.
